Verse Of The Day

Welcome to Zion Lutheran Church and School!

Happy Easter!

Resurrected Jesus changes the whole history of the universe. The New Testament clearly teaches Jesus is the “first fruits” and the “pioneer of life.” No one else has ever been raised from the dead and remained alive. All other religious leaders are dead. Buddha, Abraham, and Muhammad have tombs filled with their remains. This isn’t true of Jesus. Jesus is alive!  He’s risen, indeed! Alleluia! On a Friday we call “good,” Jesus went one on one with death at the cross and punched death’s two front teeth out and bloodied death’s face. Death is knocked out. Match over! St. Paul agrees. St. Paul says, “Death has lost its sting.”  Jesus’ death conquers death, or, to put a Luther spin on Jesus’ victory, “Death is swallowed up by death.” Jesus completely changes the course of human history with an eternally empty tomb. Death couldn’t keep Jesus down for the count and neither can it keep us pinned in the dust.

Join us for this Easter Season on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. so that Resurrected Jesus serves you His forgiveness, life, and salvation through words, water, bread and wine. Christ is risen! He's risen, indeed! Alleluia!
