Mission Statement of Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grades: The mission of Zion Lutheran School is to provide spiritual, emotional, physical, social and intellectual learning with Jesus Christ at the center. In the classroom this means providing a place in which children feel confident learning challenging material in loving atmosphere, while growing in their understanding of Christ and His Word.

About Kristi Denico (Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade Teacher):

Hello, my name is Kristi Denico. I am the new fourth, fifth, and sixth
grade teacher. I have my teaching degree in elementary education,
early childhood education, and middle school English/Language
Arts. I have been working on my Masters in Reading for the past
two years. I will have my Master’s degree in December. I am thirty-
eight years old and have two children. My daughter, Kelsey, is eight years old and going into third grade. My son, Xavier, is seven years old and going into first grade. We live in Sayre, PA which is where I was born and raised. I was teaching fifth-grade at Epiphany Elementary School last year. Since the Diocese of Scranton decided to close the seventh and eighth grades at Epiphany and I was the last teacher hired, I was let go from that job over the summer. I am excited about being at Zion Lutheran! I have already been in the room and cannot wait to meet my new students!
