KINDERGARTEN - FIRST Print E-mail

KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADE

CLASSROOM

The weather has been gloomy outside, but we have been very busy inside this month.  It is hard to believe that another school year is coming to an end.  Time sure does fly!

June will continue to be a very busy month.  The children will enjoy learning about dinosaurs, oceans and animals and a zoo trip is planned before the end of school.

Both grades have worked hard and will complete their math in May.  Great job kid!  Kindergarten will practice addition, money and time to finish the year.  1st graders are hoping to get a “head start” in 2nd grade Math.

Language Arts is also moving along very well.  Both grades are close to completing a unit and only have one more to go.  The 1st graders have really gotten the hang of the changes since Unit 7 and are doing well.  The Kindergarteners continue to practice the letters/sounds for new words and as you saw even did a word search!

Bible stories will focus on the New Testament.  Stories of Phillip. Peter, and Paul, among others.  Thanks to Vicar for coming in each week to teach us!

Please take a look around your house for any library books.  It is quickly coming to the end and any outstanding library books means that your child’s report card will not be sent home.  A note will be sent home if your child has any missing books.

Just a quick note that when it gets warmer and sunnier outside, your child is allowed to wear sunscreen and/or bug spray.  They MUST have their own (families may send in one) as they will not be allowed to share w/classmates due to any possible any allergies.

Thanks to ALL of you for all the support and assistance you have given us.  It helped to make your child’s school experience successful.

God Bless,

  Mrs. Roseboom / Mrs. Schewe
