KINDERGARTEN - FIRST Print E-mail

Where has the this year gone?!  I can hardly believe that in 4 weeks it will be summer vacation!

We are still working right along as we finish our academic work.  Both grades will very soon be finishing their Language Arts.  They have worked hard and we’ll review concepts for the last few weeks.

The Math curriculum is also coming to an end.  Again the children put a lot of effort into their work and we are proud of them.

The children have received their last Bible Story Book called Praise.  They will learn about how God is always faithful and is worthy of our worship and praise!.

As the weather gets warmer, please feel free to send in sunscreen and/or bug spray for recess.  It must be labeled and we will not allow friends to share.  Also please  remember to not send your child in flip-flops.  They will be more comfortable and safe at recess and gym with sandals that have straps for the heels.  Thank you!

In Social Studies we have learned about family, the earth, and American History.  In June, we will return to Science to discuss animals.  To go along with our discussions, I have a field trip planned to the Binghamton Zoo on Monday, June 7th.  Please take a look at the note that was sent home about it.  Thank you.

Important Dates:

June 1—PTL Meeting @Mrs. K’s house

June 7—Zoo Trip

June 17—Graduation @7:00pm

June 18—Field Day/Last Day of School

Finally I would like to say farewell and THANK YOU to Mrs. Schrader.  You all know that she is retiring after 14 years as an aide; plus many more years as a parent and volunteer.  I cannot express what a help she has been in the class, as well as a personal friend.  Her ambition, effort and drive has truly been instrumental in keeping the class going.  She will be greatly  missed and hard to replace.

God Bless You Marnie!

In Christ,

Mrs. Roseboom
